About Clint

Clint Morrow is a recent alumni of Florida State University College of Information who holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology. He plans to focus his wide range of information technology skills around project management. Clint Morrow has been fascinated by computing and technology since childhood, and grew up with technology around him. He is originally from Panama City, Florida, but currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida.

His unique talent of bridging the gap between the needs of organizations and users with technology has helped him succeed in his work. With his attention to detail, willingness to work with others to accomplish goals, and ability to see the "larger picture," Clint focuses his concentration on the IT project management, consulting, and needs-assessment requirements that all organizations require. In addition, he is knowledgeable in the areas where it counts: systems and network administration, leadership, communication, and team-building.

From June 2008 to May of 2009, Clint worked for Children’s Campaign, Inc., a non-profit advocacy group who works towards making sure children’s issues are heard at local and state levels. He served as their systems administrator, where he was responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and backup of their computer technology infrastructure with as little downtime as possible. In addition, he served a more broad goal of bringing a more youthful audience to help advocate children's issues through the use of Web 2.0-style social media.

At Children's Campaign, Clint instrumented changes to their IT support infrastructure by instituting a Disaster Recovery Plan. Previously, the Campaign had no contingency plan in place. Clint's plan provides the Children's Campaign with the necessary tools needed to get back underway in case of a disaster such as a fire, flood, etc were to take place.

Currently, Clint works for the State of Florida at the Department of Financial Services. There, Clint works as a Network and Systems Administrator managing over 600 of the Department's "Wintel" server infrastructure. He uses his experience to manage many widely used technologies: Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008 with Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, BigFix Enterprise, System Center Configuration Manager, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.

As Clint has experienced from coursework and real-world environments, a keen business and management sense is needed in the IT field. Simply working with hardware and software is only half the battle in this competitive field where many jobs are outsourced to countries that can provide labor at a discounted rate.

In December of 2008, he was awarded the 2008 FSU College of Information Appreciation of Service Award for his contribution, willingness to help others, and extracurricular involvement with both the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and Students & Technology in Academia, Research, and Service (STARS) Alliance organizations.

In March of 2009, he was awarded the 2009 FSU College of Information Humanitarian of the Year Award for his service at Children's Campaign and his extracurricular activities in the STARS Alliance.

In May of 2009, he was awarded the 2009 FSU College of Information "Best in Marketing" Online Interactive Resume, which is the website you are currently viewing in it's current form.
